Puppy Godmother provides peace of mind prioritizing the comfort and safety of your pet in an in-home environment. We are trained to de-escalate conflict and high-pressure situations. While hiring a neighbor or a young person looking for a summer hobby may be cost efficient, you put your fur baby at risk allowing someone who may be unqualified to properly care for them. The Puppy Godmother team puts safety first and possesses American Red Cross certifications in Pet First Aid and Pet CPR so, if your pet does suffer from illness or injury they'll be provided immediate professional attention. We are also fully licensed, bonded and insured meaning we're covered to make sure you, your pet and home are fully protected and well taken care of. Professional pet sitters work with you directly and provide individual attention to your pet to make sure every need is tended to.
-
A Meet & Greet is the first step to providing excellent care and service. At the Meet & Greet you'll meet your sitter and review your pet(s)' needs, routine and personality. Your sitter will also guide you through your Client Portal and assist with scheduling your first service through the app. Please make sure to prepare two sets of keys to be picked up at Meet & Greet for start of service. For clients interested in Dog Boarding or Daycare your sitter will assess a temperament test. This will ensure the safety and contentment of all our doggy guests.
-
A temperament test is a process in which your sitter will assess your dog's mental and physical characteristics as well as their reactions to other dogs' characteristics. The temperament test may begin with a 1 on 1 with you and your pet and conclude with introducing your pet to a dog daycare group to evaluate their behavior and body language with the other dogs. Your sitter will be looking for any signs of aggressive behavior, separation anxiety and other behaviors that may be a risk to your pet and others. If your pet is deemed to pass with restrictions, your sitter may suggest Overnight Stays and Drop In Visits. We reserve the right to deny any pet that we feel may harm other animals, people or themselves.
-
Absolutely! Puppy Godmother cares for most domesticated animals no matter how furry or scaly. Previous pet clients include bunnies, lizards, fish and snakes. We do not provide services for livestock or farm animals at this time.
-
Short Answer: No. The safety of your pet and others are our top priority. Due to our services being all in-home (yours or your sitter’s home), Meet & Greets ensure your pet will be in the most optimal environment for their comfort and peace of mind.
-
We understand you may feel your pet is very independent, which may be true however, because we prioritize the safety of animals we must decline visits where we can't ensure the safety of your pet throughout the day. Pets are unpredictable by nature and may get into things they're not supposed to. If you will be away for over 24 hours, there is a minimum of two Drop In Visits daily for cats and 3 for dogs.
-
We value our clients' trust and appreciate transparency. At start of service your sitter will check-in through the Scout Pet Mobile App and you will be notified via email. At end of day you will be emailed a report card detailing your pet(s)' day and mood. You'll also receive pictures of their adventures as well as GPS tracking to confirm your sitter's location.

For the safety and comfort of our sitters, please notify them of possible visitors as they are not required to engage with strangers. We don't mind if someone will be at your home outside of our scheduled visits, but will take the necessary precautions if encountered by a stranger not mentioned by you.
